It was an action-packed, full pressure day on Sydney Harbour for the Extreme 40s at the penultimate day’s racing of the 2014 global tour, where the grudge match between Alinghi and The Wave, Muscat was rife.

Less than two weeks after the conclusion of Act 5 Cardiff, presented by Land Rover, the Extreme 40 fleet is due for arrival in Istanbul, where the historic city will play host to the 12 competing international teams.

If anyone knows the Extreme Sailing Series™, it’s David ‘Freddie’ Carr. The British sailor raced in the inaugural circuit in 2007 – back then for the iShares Cup – before going on to win it in 2009 with Oman Sail Masirah.

A massive 10 races were sailed on penultimate day of Act 4 of the Extreme Sailing Series™ in Saint Petersburg,with superb sailing conditions that saw six different race winners result in a shake-up on the Act leaderboard.
