The Morgan 33 Dinghy is an open, almost 10 meters in length, which inaugurates a new range of yachts called Dinghies and will be present alongside the now well-known Morgan Lobster Boats and the Fast Commuters.

A new Morgan range: the Dinghy

The dinghy which inspires the small Morgan, is traditionally used as support vessel for both sailing and motor megayachts and addresses the need of the boat owner and his guests to move quickly with a roomy but agile boat. The 33 Dinghy proposes itself not only as a duty boat, but also as an elegant and dynamic day cruiser.

The small Morgan

The Morgan Style Center was responsible for the design of the 33 Dinghy, whereas the hull was designed by Alfredo Magazzù. In keeping with the Morgan philosophy, the new model succeeds in its objective to maintain the founding characteristics of the models of the range unchanged, thus combining the concept of classic taste, seafaring, technology and high performance. On the one hand, the combined use of the best essences of wood and the most precious fabrics render it unique and unmistakable; on the other, the design of the hull, planned to guarantee the maximum stability and smooth sailing over the waves, even in moderate sea, offers the guests unequalled cruising comfort.

The helm console, positioned at the center of the boat, is equipped with the most sophisticated technological instruments and a hi-fi stereo system including an iPod player.

It is covered by an elegant roll bar with canopy, under which, behind the two-seater command post, a small galley with stove, sink and bar/fridge can be found. Immediately behind it, in the center of the stern sundeck, there is a folding dining table which can comfortably seat five. From the sundeck, it is easy to get into the water thanks to the stern little staircase that access to the bathing platform that becomes a real terrace on sea.

The surface of the sundeck continues on towards bow and it is protected by a wooden handrail that allows for safe cruising even at the high speed the 33 Dinghy reaches. In this area, below deck, there is a cabin with V-positioned twin beds which can be converted at need into a queen-size bed, equipped with two wardrobes. The bathroom, instead, is located under the center console, with access from the ample hatch at bow of the same console.

Outboard or Z-drive

The Morgan 33 Dinghy can be equipped with two 260 Hp Yanmar Z-drive motors or with two Yamaha 250 Hp outboard, which allow it to reach a cruising speed of 35 knots and a maximum speed of 45 knots.

Ten colors

The 33 Dinghy is available in the entire Morgan 2009 color range which includes creamwhite, light ivory, sand-yellow, brown-red, green blue, steel blue, horizon blue, granite grey, light grey and deep black.

Sport Fishing Kit

For fishing lovers a Sport Fishing Kit is available which includes trawl-beam, fishing rod holder on the roll bar, a tub for live bait, stowage for lines and artificial bait, stowage for fishing rods and echo-sounder which transform the 33 Dinghy into a sport fisherman, without losing any of the unmistakable elegance of the Morgan yachts.
