Colombo_24_Super_Indios_Electric.jpgIt does not consume fuel and it cruises at “zero emissions”. It is rechargeable with shore power and if the energy comes from renewable sources it does not produce any environmental impact. It cruises in silence, leaving air and water clean. This is the alternative to sail boat and power boat. It is the first Italian electric fast boat.

Giacomo Colombo S.p.A., in collaboration with the Austrian dealer Ortner Boote, has built a special electric version of the Colombo 24 Super Indios, recently proposed in the new white version finishing with teak wood. The project was implemented to build a new boat according with the latest projects of the automotive world and in advance of a future environment friendly.

The Colombo 24 Super Indios Electric uses a high power electric engine (95 hp) that allows it to reach about 20 knots.
In less than six hours you can get your fill of energy by using a double charging circuit with two connections to shore power. Normally, proceeding at different speeds, you can ride for more than 4 hours. At 11 knots cruising speed it is possible covering about 25 miles.

The electric motor provides a ready and powerful thrust that can be adjusted smoothly thanks to electronic throttle control. Mooring the boat, you can immediately switch from forward to back gear without any additional mechanical components.  The electric version has a specially modified hull, while the deck, the cockpit and the accessories are the same of the gasoline version.
