Phase II of marina renovations at Old Port Cove’s south basin in North Palm Beach, FL were completed this week just in time to welcome seasonal boaters back to South Florida.  This completes Old Port Cove’s $22 million two-year renovation of both its north and south basins.

“This is a very exciting time for us and our clients as well,” said Old Port Cove Holdings President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Morgan.  “Construction began nearly six months ago to the day on this portion of the renovations.  Everyone involved in the project really put forth a tremendous effort to get the project completed by the beginning of the season. It came together beautifully and has definitely been worth the wait.”

Earlier this month, Old Port Cove Marina announced it received grants totaling 75 percent of its pump out equipment costs from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FLDEP) for the installation of new pump-out facilities.  These facilities provide an environmentally friendly way for boaters to pump out the waste-water from their boats so that it is disposed of appropriately, and not discharged into the waterways, where it can cause harm to the environment and human health.

Renovations to Old Port Cove’s South Marina will result in a marina two-and-a-half times larger than the newly renovated North Marina.  Slips sizes range from 45’ to 190’ in length.  Additionally, there is a new state-of-the-art diesel fuel dock and  fueling equipment with two pumps, redesigned upland areas for parking, new landscape, lighting, re-decorated service building and more.

Old Port Cove Marina is the first marina facility in the Northern Palm Beaches which can accommodate vessels to 190’+ LOA.
