Sealine S38: the point of technology
In the 40 feet range, the English manufacturer, Sealine, once more shows its know-how with this model at the point of technology, the S38 Sealine. One of the most innovative aspects of this high-speed open motorboat is its electric system, named Seaplex. Majority of the boat systems (lighting, instruments, diodes, etc.) are connected to the Seaplex module thus removing a large part of traditional wire connections.
The cockpit is broad and closed on the back following the example of other English high-speed motorboats. The passage on the front deck is a little more difficult with handrail a little far. A broad reversed arch masks a rain awning used for front cockpit, and a hood bimini for the back. The lower deck shows a vast living room on starboard and an American kitchen on port side, quite enlightened thanks to the many side port-holes. The owner cabin is located at front boat while the guests’ is under the cockpit. It has a small settee which can act as bed for a child. Note that the bathroom is independent from the toilets.
The motorization, perfectly sound-proof, is accessible by all the sides and the 2 Volvo engines of 285 HP allow a cruising speed of almost 27 knots at 3000 rpm for a max speed of 34 knots, and a little more for 300 HP engines.
With the operation, the S38 Sealine requires a little catch in hand because of its Z-transmission, but at sea one can drive it with two fingers.
