Phase 2 Slated to Begin May 1, 2008

Old Port Cove Marina in North Palm Beach, Florida, who completed $7 million in renovations to its North Marina in November of 2007, will begin similar renovations to their South basin on May 1, 2008. The renovations will result in a marina two-and-a-half times larger than the North Marina and will accommodate vessels from 45’ to 190’ in length.

This re-construction includes replacement of all docks, piers and pilings with a beautiful new state-of-the-art hard wood decked floating dock system. The marina will feature new power pedestals with 100 amps single and 3 phase electric, cable, phone, WIFI, and the convenience of in-slip pump-out. In addition, the marina will install a first-class fire fighting system, new lighting, and lushly landscaped bulkheads, upland areas and parking lots. Also planned is the installation of a new fuel dock, and state-of-the-art fueling equipment. Renovations are expected to conclude by late fall, 2008. Marina operations at the North Marina facility will continue and Old Port Cove Marina will also provide dockage at its sister marinas; North Palm Beach and New Port Cove during construction.

Local marine industry businesses expected to be involved in the renovations include The Murphy Construction Co., Isiminger & Stubbs Engineering, Inc., Mike Tammaro, P.A., Dave Lincoln Plumbing, and Current Connections, Inc.

This renovation is the latest in Old Port Cove Holdings, Inc.’s ongoing efforts to preserve public marina facilities. It has previously renovated both its North Palm Beach Marina and New Port Cove Marine Center in Riviera Beach. This stage of renovation of its facilities will be the final phase. “This last renovation again demonstrates how dedicated we are to providing the best dockage and accommodations for our clients, for literally every boat size” said Rick Morgan, President, and C.O.O. “This particular facility adds much needed available access for the mega-yacht owner, especially ones enjoy the luxury and elegance a Palm Beach lifestyle has to offer.
